The Bond Man assists the Site Foreman/Engineer with setting out, leveling, and alignment of construction works. The role involves handling measuring equipment, placing markers, and ensuring accurate positioning of structures in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Minimum basic education (secondary school preferred).
Previous experience on a construction site is an advantage.
Experience assisting a surveyor or engineer is a plus.
Assist in setting out points, levels, and alignments as directed by the Site Engineer or Surveyor.
Hold leveling staff, measuring tapes, prisms, or ranging rods during surveying activities.
Mark positions for excavation, foundations, roads, and structural elements.
Measure distances, elevations, and dimensions using tapes and basic surveying tools.
Help in transferring levels from benchmarks to working areas.
Ensure measurements are accurate and consistent with drawings.
Place pegs, stakes, string lines, and markers to define construction areas.
Assist with grid lines and reference points for construction works.
Maintain visibility and protection of survey markers on site.
Carry, clean, and maintain surveying equipment.
Ensure tools are stored properly and handled with care.
Report any damaged or faulty equipment.
Assist Site Foreman/Engineer with basic site duties.
Ensure work areas are clean and safe.
Follow all site safety rules and instructions.
