Description

The inventory clerk will be responsible for maintaining and entering all information relating to inventory. This includes daily issues and receipts of stock. The candidate will perform periodic and monthly stock counts and will prepare weekly reports which are essential to the company’s operations.

  1. 7 CSEC subjects, grades 1 and 2, inclusive of math and english

  2. Currently pursuing CAT or similar qualification

  3. Strong knowledge of excel and word

  4. At least 2 years working experience in accounting. Experience with accounting for inventory will be considered as an asset.

  5. Ability to work independently

  6. Ability to work under pressure

  7. Ability to multitask

  8. Ability to perform tasks with accuracy

  9. Availability to work beyond standard working hours to meet reporting deadlines

  1. Process daily issue of stock

  2. Verify the accuracy of inventory picked to stock request and special orders

  3. Examine daily reports to ensure salesmen were charged for correct stock, identify and resolve discrepancies

  4. Monitors and maintains current inventory levels and investigates problems

  5. Records receipts, samples and transfer of stock

  6. Performs monthly and periodic physical stock counts

  7. Collate stock figures from physical count, enter into accounting software and resolve discrepancies

  8. Maintain records of incoming containers and related documents

  9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

  10. Update costing

  11. Prepare weekly inventory reports for submission to parent company.
