Product Development Technical Officer

Product Development Technical Officer will be a skilled and detailed-oriented person responsible for assisting in the design and development of new products. This role involves researching and developing new formulations, conducting product trials, and analyzing performance.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related food science discipline.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product development, Quality Assurance or food manufacturing.

• Proficiency in data analysis and technical reporting.

• Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

• Conduct research, develop and refine formulations, and perform testing for new products.

• Perform laboratory-scale and assist in pilot-scale new product trials; monitoring parameters, collecting data, and preparing analytical reports.

• Conduct physical, chemical and sensory analyses on new ingredients, trial samples and finished products.

• Collaborate closely Quality Assurance department in testing and establishing new specifications of new raw materials and finished products.

• Conduct shelf life studies for new products.

• Laboratory maintenance; calibrate and maintain lab equipment.

• Conduct research on quality and food safety standards relevant to new product development.

• Prepare and maintain analytical reports from trials, testing, and technical evaluations.

• Assist in product scale-up activities and support new product launches.

• Any other relevant duties as determined by the manager.
