SENIOR MERCHANDISER

The Merchandising Supervisor will lead the Promotions and Merchandising Department of Sterling Products Limited. He/She will be responsible for creating and satisfying the demands for the Company’s Products from production to consumption. The MS will be responsible for promoting all products and supportive services pertaining to the Sales Department. Under   the direct supervision of the Marketing Manager the MS will maintain and expand relationships and activities with distributors and retail outlets in the urban and priority areas.

• Five (5) subjects GCE /CXC inclusive of Maths & English.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite.
• Diploma in Marketing or Management will be considered an asset.
•  Supervisory Management skills.
• Experience in consumer product promotion and merchandising/sales.
• Experience in product sales and distribution.
• Willingness and ability to travel independently.

• Responsible for managing the staff of the Merchandising Department in the areas of Linden, Essequibo, Georgetown, West Demerara, East Bank Demerara and Berbice.
• Responsible for distribution of Merchandising and Promotional items (posters, freezers, signs, etc.) in Regions 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 10.
• Provides assistance to the Sales and Distribution customer base (businesses) developed by Sterling Products Limited.
• Co-operate with the Sales Department to develop and implement new sales strategies.
• Responsible for maintaining merchandising and promotional equipment of the Company whether placed at customers or in the Company and account for the same as well.
• Co-ordinate the Merchandising staff to broaden the impact of the marketing and promotional activities, undertaken by the Company to increase the sale of products and services.
• Provide support and assistance during the creation of new promotional messages and campaigns.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with new and existing customers in all regions of the country that the company does business.
• Provide assistance and support to the Marketing Manager/CEO during major events sanctioned by Sterling Products Limited.
• Assist in gathering of data for Sterling Products Limited for market research, retail store audits and distribution services as required.
• Compliance with health and safety requirements.
