The Group Controller is responsible for the relevance, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements and financial forecasting, including all transaction processing, tax compliance, pay and benefits, internal controls, management reporting and analysis, and cash and foreign exchange management.
The role shall manage the budgeting, forecasting, price and cost reporting. Regular and recurring variance analysis, price and cost accounting and analysis, price-volume-mix analysis, and product, service, project, program, business, and division-level business cases regarding investment or financial performance.
As a leader, the position is accountable for recruiting, retaining, training, and managing all department staff while ensuring staff engagement and satisfaction. This includes the responsibility to ensure there are written roles and responsibilities, performance objectives, performance appraisals, training objectives, and succession plans for each role within the department.
An accounting designation or equivalent (Degree in Accounting, ACCA Certified)
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
