➢ Assist in Inducting, orienting, and training new and existing staff.
➢ Assist the Human Resources Officer in ensuring that all employees’ personnel files are updated with all the
relevant documents.
➢ Assist the Human Resources Officer in maintaining the annual leave schedule and ensuring that all employees
are sent on leave according to the schedule. All leave must be taken within the calendar year and must not be
rolled over.
➢ Assist in compiling the weekly and monthly payroll information (employee data sheet, annual leave, time-off,
sick leave etc.) is submitted to the Accounts Department.
➢ Assist in ensuring that probation review is done for all new staff.
➢ Collect employment and tax information from employees.
➢ Assist in conducting background and reference checks.
➢ Assist in preparing new employee file.
➢ Provide customer service to the employees.
➢ Assist in maintaining and regularly updating the employee listing.
➢ Orient new employees to the organization (setting up a designated log-in, etc.).
➢ Complete all filing in the department on a daily basis.
➢ Any other duties that may be assigned.
At least five (5) Subjects CXC, General Proficiency inclusive of Mathematics, English A and Accounts.
Experience in a similar capacity for at least two years will be an asset.
Must be Computer literate.
Good oral and written communication skills
Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with employees, members of the HR
management team, and in group presentations and meetings.
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to
improve performance through management feedback.
