The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for leading, implementing and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) infrastructure, governance and compliance related to the requirements of ISO 9001 and 45001. The incumbent continually analyzes viability of the company’s QMS for improvement initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification desirable
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance/control, in an established ISO Certified Organization.
Ability to demonstrate analytical, strong communication and reasoning skills, with an awareness to the concept of urgency and preparedness.
Fosters collaboration within departments by providing guidance on quality standards and compliance measures, aligning everyone towards common quality goals and objectives
Manages departmental compliance with organisation's risk management framework, discuss with divisional/departmental heads gaps, formulate and follow through with correction plans
Evaluates internal audit findings to identify vulnerabilities and devise corrective action plans for timely close out of findings
Establishes documentation procedures and management systems regarding formatting, review process, version control, distribution and maintenance of quality control records
Collaborates with the company’s Training and Development Department for staff sensitization and awareness of new implementations, modifications and improvements of quality system and processes
Engages in quality assessments, customer feedback analysis to ensure quality standards are met for both client and internal customers
To explore certifications out of the tenets of ISO and support strategic QMS initiatives identified by the company to be of benefit to the business
Serves as the point of contact for external with certification company for surveillance and recertification audits
