Handles various admin and operations related tasks, including organizing, storing, and processing both digital and paper information. Maintains accurate inventory records for the storeroom ledger.
Five (5) subjects at CXC/CSEC; subjects preferable including Principles of Accounts, Mathematics and English Language
Minimum of one (1) year relatable job experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Working knowledge of ACCPAC will be an asset
Primary duties of a Depot Assistant includes:
Sorts incoming mail and sends outgoing mail.
Writes letters, reports and office memoranda and circulates to applicable parties.
Attends to visitors and records customer interactions.
Maintains comprehensive filing system.
Dispatch lubricants and takes inventory of stock in the Storeroom; updates computerised inventory of stocks and prepares statistics using summarized information for submission to the Terminal Superintendent.
Prepares sales invoices, stock requisitions, requests for quotations and purchase orders. Receives stock in storage.
Process customer bills, contracts, agreement, invoices, or cheques.
Keep track of petty cash and seal register to make sure all transactions are recorded and secure.
Counts, sorts and weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices.
