Description

A Major International Operator is currently seeking a Site Security Contact (Offshore) to provide support to their internal operations.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ work experience in an offshore environment in a security role, or 10 years of progressively responsible experience within relevant commercial organisations

  • Ideal candidate would have minimum 5 years law enforcement, security, or military-related experience that includes exposure to staff supervision, security program administration, crime prevention and crisis management. 

  • Degree in the Security field, Policing, Criminology or Business Administration, or commensurate applicable experience including: Knowledge of asset management and protection, Security program management (Onshore & Offshore), Security logistics, Well versed with security legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Highly effective organizational, time management and analytical skills 

  • Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • ISPS Certified 

  • BOSIET certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide appropriate security-related support to Company offshore activities. 

  • Contribute to the on-going development and implementation of security plans for offshore activities. 

  • Maintain an effective security program that includes policies, practices, procedures, equipment and technology required to respond quickly and appropriately to security emergencies and evacuations on a cost-effective basis. 

  • Implement and document the SSAP - Site Security Activity Plan (Offshore). 

  • Implement and document the TTE Matrix (Offshore). 

  • Participate in all ISPS regulatory inspections and exercises involving MARAD. 

  • Review PFSA / PFSP when produced by the RSO. 

  • Keep current on security best practices and asset protection technology. 

  • Ensure the Security Lead (Offshore) is regularly and promptly appraised of security issues. 

  • Participate in all offshore QASRs. 

  • Participate in all SDPR and SRAs pertaining to offshore operations. 

  • Conduct on-hire security vessel inspections in conjunction with the Logistics Department. 

  • Conduct periodic reviews of security countermeasures for on-hire vessels. 

  • Adhere to the Company Values and Behaviour Framework and demonstrate commitment to safety, security, environment, integrity, teamwork and excellence.
