Description

CAGE (Guyana) Inc., is seeking a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Senior HR Officer, according to the following criteria:

 Job Summary:

Implements and maintains effective human resources strategies in keeping with corporate policies and practices, to promote employee satisfaction, facilitate a high level of productivity and harmonious industrial relations climate.

 Special Job Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, dynamic and result oriented.

·       Discriminating judgment and ready use of initiative.

·       Sound Knowledge or Human Resource an Industrial Relations practices and procedures.

·       Sound knowledge of Labor Legislation.

·       Excellent level of time management, verbal, written and listening communication and administrative skills; ability to delegate.

·       Proficiency in computer software applications.

·       Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.

 

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

·       Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations.

·       Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in a middle or senior management position.

·       Computer literacy.

·       Experience working with Human Resources Information systems (HRIS).

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

·       Acts as consultant to department heads on HR an IR issues, including conflict resolution.

·       Manages Recruitment and Selection process.

·       Administers employee benefits.

·       Manages salary and wages administration.

·       Prepares and submits relevant reports and analysis as required.

·       Prepares Job descriptions and Standard of Performance, in collaboration with management team.

·       Provides counseling and assistance as necessary to employees with work-related or other issues.

·       Administers staff functions.

·       Manages the termination process, including exit interviews.

·       Informs management and employees on relevant legislation.

·       Ensures adherence to relevant legislation.

·       Ensures accurate employee record-keeping.

·       Performs any related duties as required, to ensure or facilitate efficient operations.
