We are looking for a Procurement Clerk to join our dynamic team! The Procurement clerk will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services for the organization. This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
· High School diploma or equivalent
·Minimum of two (2) years’ practical experience in the field or a related field
·Knowledge of procurement software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.
·Knowledge of procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CSCP, CPSM)
·Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement and contracting
· Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
·Evaluate whether the inventory quantities are sufficient for the needs of the company and ordering more materials where necessary.
· Correspond with suppliers’ inquiries about order status, changes or cancellations.
· Correspond with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
· Verify the accuracy, terminology, and specifications of requisition orders.
· Maintain a filing system for purchasing files, reports and price lists.
·Conduct price comparisons, specifications, and delivery dates to arrive at the best bid.
· Track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders.
·Make verifications of shipment when they arrive to ensure that the orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.
·Perform any other duties as assigned in connection with this role.
