The Accounts Clerk is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the Accounting Department. He/ She must be confidential and professional at all times and adhere to organization’s policies and procedures. The role requires that the individual be outgoing and willing to travel to conduct business outside of the office.
Education:
· At least seven (7) subjects CXC, inclusive of Grades 1 to 3 in Mathematics, English and Accounts.
Experience:
· At least one-year experience in an active finance role.
· Experience using an integrated accounting software is considered an asset.
Skills:
· Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadline.
· Aptitude of numbers, adaptable to the nature of the job
· Good communication, analytical and organizational skills.
· Recording of daily transactions.
· Reconciliation of Control Accounts
· Preparation of Vouchers
· Making payments
· Assists in the reconciliation of Bank Accounts.
· Ensuring filing system is up-to-date
· Any other tasks assigned from time to time.
