Description

Conduct general maintenance and minor repairs on all company vehicles.     

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma with three years’ experience in a similar field.

  • Computer Literacy & competency to use Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint.

  • Experience in planning & scheduling of vehicle maintenance.

  • Must be able to make decisions based on technical criteria.      

  • Must have good communication skills, oral and written.

  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision. 

  • Able to drive 4WD vehicles under Guyana law requirements with valid driver's license.

  • Able to perform physical work when required, that may include mechanical work, component repairs, working with oils, grease and other fluids and lifting small components.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and/or repairs of all company vehicles with mechanic.

  • Prepare and maintain vehicle maintenance schedule matrix.

  • Obtain and follow-up on quotations from suppliers.

  • Follow-up with Maintenance Analyst and Procurement in the ordering of vehicle parts and supplies.

  • Prepare and submit monthly vehicle maintenance reports to Administration Manager.

  • Track all vehicular expenses and keep a log of same.

  • Prepare yearly budget based on previous year's expenses.

  • Review contracts for contractors and process same.
