Description

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of security operations, policies, and procedures at Aegis Security Services Inc. The CSO plays a critical role in safeguarding the company’s assets, employees, clients, and reputation while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations.

The CSO reports directly to the CEO and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategic security initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, Criminology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale security operations and diverse teams.

• Strong knowledge of security technologies, risk management frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar) are an asset.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s comprehensive security strategy.

• Establish policies, protocols, and systems to manage physical, personnel, and operational security risks.

• Monitor and adapt security operations to align with business growth and market trends.

2. Operational Oversight:

• Manage and supervise the company’s security personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.

• Ensure the efficient operation of all security systems, including surveillance, access control, and monitoring technologies.

• Oversee security operations for all contracts, including manned services, electronic surveillance, and risk assessments.

3. Risk Management:

• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

• Develop and implement crisis management and emergency response plans.

• Ensure incident reporting and investigations are conducted thoroughly and documented appropriately.

4. Client Relationship Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding security concerns and service quality.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their security needs are met.

• Provide regular updates to clients on security performance metrics and strategies.

5. Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Maintain all required certifications and licenses for the company and its personnel.

• Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, risks, and recommendations to the executive team.

6. Team Development:

• Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and continuous learning within the security team.

• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of security personnel.

7. Technology Integration:

• Research and recommend advanced security technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of security software, surveillance systems, and other technological tools.
