Description

The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating commercial embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidered garments, uniforms, caps, promotional items, and other products according to customer specifications

Responsibilities

Operate commercial embroidery machines safely and efficiently.

Load garments, caps, and other items correctly onto embroidery hoops/frames.

Set up embroidery machines according to job specifications.

Select and change threads, needles, bobbins, and stabilizers as required.

Load and position embroidery designs accurately.

Monitor machines during production and respond to thread breaks, needle breaks, tension issues, and other machine errors.

Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.

Inspect finished embroidery for quality, alignment, thread tension, and overall appearance.

Remove excess backing/stabilizer and clean finished products.

Maintain accurate production quantities and report completed work.

Keep the embroidery area clean, organized, and free from unnecessary materials.

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of embroidery equipment.

Follow production schedules and meet required deadlines.

Follow all company safety rules and production procedures.

Report machine faults, damaged materials, or quality issues to the supervisor.

Work as part of the production team to ensure orders are completed on time.

Requirements

Previous embroidery machine experience is preferred.

Ability to operate commercial multi-head embroidery machines.

Basic knowledge of embroidery threads, needles, stabilizers, hoops, and machine settings.

Good attention to detail and quality control.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive production tasks.

Willingness to learn new embroidery techniques and equipment.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Tajima, Barudan, Melco, Butterfly, or similar commercial embroidery machines.

Knowledge of embroidery digitizing software is an advantage.

Basic troubleshooting and machine-maintenance skills.

Experience working with caps, polos, jackets, uniforms, and other specialty garments.
