Brokerage Operations Officer

Target Customs Brokerage Inc. (TCBI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Brokerage Operations Officer to join our growing team.

Working knowledge of ASYCUDA World.

Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding.

Sound knowledge of import and export documentation and clearance procedures.

Ability to accurately prepare and review documentation.

Knowledge of HS Code classification will be considered an asset.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Professional attitude with a high level of integrity.

Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic brokerage environment.

Prior experience in brokerage operations or trade documentation is necessary.

A drivers / motorcycle license would be a plus

• Receive, review, and verify customer documents to ensure they are complete and ready for processing.

• Prepare and process ASYCUDA entries accurately and within required timelines.

• Classify goods using the Harmonized System (HS) Code and ensure accurate tariff application.

• Communicate with customers and relevant agencies to obtain missing information or resolve documentation issues.

• Maintain accurate electronic and physical records of brokerage files and supporting documents.

• Monitor the progress of declarations and shipments, providing timely updates to customers and management.

• Ensure compliance with all company procedures and applicable import and export regulations.

• Follow up with GRA, wharves, shipping agents, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely processing of documentation and cargo clearance.
