The Aviation Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure aviation environment by preventing unauthorized access, detecting and responding to security threats, and ensuring compliance with established aviation security procedures, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
The role involves screening passengers, employees, visitors, baggage, vehicles, cargo, and other items entering restricted or sterile areas, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, vigilance, integrity, and customer service.
18 years or older
Guyanese citizen or permanent resident with valid work authorization
Minimum 3 CXC O’ Level passes (Grades 1–3) or equivalent
English must be one of the passes
Able to read, write and speak English
Basic computer literacy
Screen cabin baggage, hold baggage, vehicles, and cargo.
Conduct security screening of employees, visitors, and other persons requiring access to restricted areas.
Operate aviation security screening equipment.
Identify and report prohibited, suspicious, or unauthorized items.
Follow established aviation security screening procedures and protocols.
Maintain a high level of vigilance, professionalism, integrity, and alertness while performing security duties.
