Technical Manager – Construction & Civil Engineering

LongReach Investments & Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the technical management of civil, municipal and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical planning, drawing reviews, construction methods, quality control and coordination with project stakeholders

1. College diploma or higher in Civil Engineering, Municipal Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Intermediate-level or higher professional qualification is preferred.

2. Minimum of 5 years of technical management experience in civil or municipal construction projects. At least 3 years of experience on international projects is preferred.

3. Strong knowledge of civil and municipal construction methods, technical standards and specifications, with the ability to prepare specialized construction plans, project schedules and technical documentation.

4. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to understand English drawings, technical specifications and contract documents is preferred.

5. Hard-working, responsible and able to follow project arrangements. Previous experience with international projects involving large construction companies is preferred.

6. Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, cost-estimation and technical documentation software.

1. Oversee the technical management of civil and municipal engineering projects, including technical planning, drawing reviews and technical briefings.

2. Prepare construction organization plans, specialized construction plans, plans for major or high-risk works, project schedules and technical management measures.

3. Manage detailed drawing development, quantity reviews, design changes and site documentation, and coordinate technical matters with clients, supervisors and design teams.

4. Coordinate construction methods, quality control, work-stage acceptance, testing and inspection, document submission and preparation of project completion technical documentation.

5. Resolve technical challenges and construction difficulties related to civil and municipal works, optimize construction methods, reduce costs and improve efficiency.

6. Provide technical training to construction teams, support team management, standardize construction practices and ensure proper safety and technical briefings.

7. Work with commercial and contract departments on claims, variation measurements, technical support and post-project reviews.
