Description
The Accounts Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the pharmacy’s accounting and administrative functions. This role ensures compliance with financial policies and contributes to efficient business operations.
Requirements
Accounts Clerk
Five (5) CSEC subjects including Mathematics, English and Principles of Accounts.
At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is a strong asset.
Responsibilities
Accounts Clerk
Record daily sales, purchases, and expenses in accounting systems.
Process invoices, receipts, and supplier payments.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and other accounting records.
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
Track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements.
Ensure proper filing of financial documents for audit and compliance purposes.
Support tax filings, VAT submissions, and statutory reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
Handle petty cash and bank deposits.
Provide clerical support to the accounting supervisor.
Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
