Description
The Kitchen Designer/CNC Nesting Programmer will be responsible for designing kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets and bespoke furniture and converting approved designs into accurate manufacturing information for CNC production.
The role will use Cabinet Vision in collaboration with Hixuan CNC software and will work closely with the Office Manager, Production Manager and CNC operators.
Requirements
* Cabinet Vision experience strongly preferred.
* CNC nesting experience preferred.
* Hixuan CNC software experience advantageous.
* Kitchen design experience.
* Cabinet manufacturing knowledge.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Excellent measurement skills.
* Strong computer skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
* Design kitchens, wardrobes, vanities and furniture.
* Produce detailed designs and layouts.
* Prepare customer design proposals.
* Select appropriate materials and finishes.
* Select appropriate hardware.
* Ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
* Incorporate appliances into designs.
* Ensure correct clearances.
* Make design revisions based on customer requirement
* Review site measurements.
* Identify potential installation issues.
* Ensure designs reflect actual site conditions.
* Communicate site issues to the relevant team.
* Use Cabinet Vision for cabinet design and manufacturing.
* Develop manufacturing-ready cabinet designs.
* Generate component information.
* Verify cabinet construction.
* Check dimensions and hardware positions.
* Ensure drilling and machining information is accurate.
* Prepare CNC nesting layouts.
* Generate CNC production files.
* Optimise material usage.
* Ensure grain direction is correct.
* Verify toolpaths.
* Check cutting dimensions.
* Ensure drilling and routing information is correct.
* Coordinate with CNC operators.
* Update files when approved design changes occur.
