Corporate Affairs & Media Relations Manager

The Corporate Affairs & Media Relations Manager is responsible for protecting and enhancing Aris Mining's corporate reputation in Guyana through strategic communications, media engagement, stakeholder communications and corporate affairs initiatives. The role supports the Country Manager by developing clear, consistent messaging and communication strategies while working closely with the Government Relations Coordinator and Head of Legal to ensure communications are accurate, compliant and aligned with Company objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related discipline.

• Minimum 7 years' experience in corporate affairs, media relations or strategic communications.

• Experience in mining, natural resources, infrastructure or major projects preferred.

• Strategic communication and storytelling.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Media and stakeholder relationship management.

• Judgement, professionalism and integrity.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

• Planning, organization and project coordination.

• Develop presentations, corporate communications, media releases, executive speeches and key messaging.

• Manage relationships with local and international media and communications consultants.

• Support the Country Manager with communication plans for government, community and industry engagement.

• Coordinate corporate events, project announcements and executive visits.

• Manage digital communications, website content and approved social media channels.

• Prepare crisis communication plans and provide communications support during incidents.

• Monitor media coverage and provide regular reputation and media reports.

• Ensure all external communications align with Company policies and legal requirements.
