The Global Green Growth Institute (Guyana) team is seeking an Intern to support the Finance and Corporate Services Unit by contributing to procurement processes, stakeholder engagement, and operational activities that advance sustainable development initiatives.
Applicants to the GGGI internship program must, at the time of application, meet the following requirements:
Be enrolled in a Bachelor's (final year), Master’s, or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months in Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Management
Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field related to the Institute's work.
Possess an excellent command of English.
Demonstrated skills in planning and strategy, with a focus on the effective and timely delivery of results.
Attention to detail, accuracy, quality control, and methodical abilities.
Specific education and/or training in procurement/public procurement is an advantage.
We are looking for a talented individual to work with us in the Finance Corporate Service (FCS) Unit, providing operational support to the budget unit, specifically in carrying out the day-to-day activities of the Procurement unit.
The assignment will include the following, but not limited to:
Contribute to ensuring that the procurement processes for the Guyana Office meet the standards and quality required by GGGI and the team's needs.
Support ongoing procurement procedures and new procurement procedures under the supervision of GGGI staff.
Provide additional support in stakeholder and vendor efforts for engagement in event organization and related activities, under the guidance of GGGI staff.
