Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Kitchen Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and food preparation areas. The ideal candidate will ensure that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspace are clean and organized, contributing to a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen cleaning role or similar environment is a plus but not required.

  • Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

    • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

    • Good time-management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    • Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Tasks: Perform daily cleaning duties, including washing dishes, cleaning counter tops, and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils.

  • Sanitation Compliance: Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

  • Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables properly; assist in maintaining a clean and organized waste disposal area.

  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly, ensuring they are free of debris and spills to prevent accidents.

  • Inventory Support: Help organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment; inform supervisors of supply needs.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean kitchen appliances, such as ovens, grills, and refrigerators, ensuring they are properly maintained and functioning.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to support their cleaning needs and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any additional cleaning tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational needs.

  • A fast-paced kitchen environment; may involve standing for long periods and lifting moderate to heavy items.
