The Accounts Clerk supports the daily operations of the Accounts Department by performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping. A successful Accounts Clerk will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions are carried out accurately and effectively.
Passes of no less than five (5) CSEC (general proficiency level) subjects including English, Mathematics and Accounts. Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software packages including Quick Books. Completion of CAT level 1 will be advantegous.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required as well as a responsible, calm and confidential attitude.
And/or
A minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in an Accounting Department.
Posting accounts receivables in compliance with policies and procedures.
Processing incoming payments in compliance with policies and procedures..
Performing daily financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data.
Preparing bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits.
Verifying discrepancies and resolving clients' billing issues.
