IT Field Technician

We are looking for skilled and dependable IT Field Technicians to join our growing Wireless Internet Service Provider team. The technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining customer internet equipment, including wireless antennas, routers, cabling, and basic network configurations.

You will work both in the field and in-home installations, ensuring customers receive high-quality service and a smooth installation experience.

• High school diploma or technical certification

• Valid driver’s license

• Experience in WISP, networking, or electrical preferred

• Basic understanding of networking

• Experience with routers and wireless devices

• Comfortable working at heights (rooftops, ladders, poles)

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Install and align wireless antennas (CPEs) on rooftops/poles

• Run and secure outdoor CAT5e/CAT6 cabling

• Configure routers, access points, and Wi-Fi equipment

• Perform site surveys to determine signal quality and line-of-sight

• Troubleshoot internet connectivity issues on-site

• Carry out maintenance and upgrades on network equipment

• Test signal strength, throughput, and link stability

• Provide clear customer communication during installations

• Ensure safe work practices (roof work, ladder use, harnesses)

• Document installations and submit reports/photos

• Support the network operations team with field diagnostics
