Truck Dispatcher (Soesdyke Location)

The Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating daily trucking operations, ensuring that all deliveries are executed efficiently, safely, and profitably. This role bridges communication between Sales, Operations, Accounts, and Stores to keep logistics running smoothly.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics, trucking coordination, or fleet management

• Strong computer literacy (Excel, Google Sheets, Dispatch tracking software preferred)

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

• Strong leadership and team coordination skills

• Knowledge of transportation routes and road regulations in Guyana.

Preferred

• Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Operations Management, or Business Administration

• Familiarity with heavy equipment and trucking industry

• Basic mechanical knowledge (advantageous)

• Plan and assign daily truck routes in coordination with the Sales team.

• Ensure drivers are compliant with all operational requirements for each load.

• Track, collect, and submit Delivery Manifests (DMs) / Delivery Notes to the Accounts Department promptly.

• Compile and update the “Trucker Report” spreadsheet daily with mileage, loads, revenue, and fuel usage.

• Work closely with the Inventory Officer/Stores Department to measure and record fuel issuance accurately.

• Maintain a clear dispatch schedule to guarantee on-time deliveries.

• Supervise and evaluate truck and driver performance through report analysis.

• Coordinate with contractors and temporary trucking partners for large projects.

• Support management in achieving the income target for the trucking department.

• Uphold company standards for safety, efficiency, and accountability.
