Description

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the friendly face of the ice cream parlour, responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring product quality and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is personable, reliable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English Language (Grades I–III) at the CSEC level.

  • Experience: At least one (1) year of work experience in the food or hospitality industry.

  • Food Handlers Certificate

Skills and Qualities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Pleasant personality with a customer-first attitude.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

  • Basic numeracy and cash-handling accuracy.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (weekends, holidays).

  • Good multitasking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Neat, well-groomed appearance suitable for a customer-facing role.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage customers in a warm and friendly manner.

  • Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Prepare and serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and other menu items according to company standards.

  • Handle cash, electronic, and other payment transactions with accuracy.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the serving area, equipment, and dining space.

  • Restock supplies and display items as needed throughout the day.

  • Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.

  • Support promotional activities, sampling, and upselling of featured items.

  • Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.

  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including inventory checks and end-of-day reporting.
