Will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing ASL’s Lethem Operation. The Officer shall ensure compliance with ASL’s directives, promote, and sell the service in a manner that is satisfactory to customers and ASL.
Five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
At least five (5) years of supervisory experience in the related field.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
Familiarity with aviation standards and safety protocols.
Ability to perform physical tasks, such as refueling aircraft and supervising cargo loading.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Issuing of tickets and receipts.
Issuing and storing of fuel, also refueling the aircraft when necessary.
Passing information to ASL’s Office at Ogle Aerodrome (Office), on the number of passengers booked to travel along with the corresponding ticket numbers.
Completed ticket books must be sent to the Office immediately so as to replenish books
Sending cash to Ogle office on each schedule flight out of Lethem.
Supervising the on-load of all baggage, mail and cargo in the proper sequence to ensure accessibility and ease of off-loading at destination according to Guyana Civil Aviation Standards.
Ensuring safe and efficient handling of all passengers and their baggage including of any mail or cargo carried in ASL aircraft.
Ensuring that all baggage, mail and cargo are properly secured and tied down in accordance with the Aircraft Manufacturer’s Loading Instructions.
Ensuring the weighing of each individual passenger baggage whilst entering the name and details on the passenger manifest.
Producing an accurately compiled load sheet for the approval and signature of the Pilot-in-Command and for ensuring that all ASL aircraft are loaded as indicated on the Load Sheet.
Ensuring That:
ALL SEATS EQUIPPED with seat belts are properly secured.
Sufficient cargo ropes and nets are on board the aircraft.
Sufficient tie down rings or seat rail tie down assemblies are on board the aircraft.
When required, the floor boards are installed.
