GUYANA – WE’RE HIRING A SECURITY MANAGER
Castle Security is seeking an experienced and highly driven Security Manager to lead private/proprietary security operations and personnel.
Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Age requirement: 25–47 years.
Minimum 3 years in a managerial role overseeing private/proprietary security operations and personnel.
A security or military background is an asset.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills.
High ethical standards and integrity.
Mandatory: Strong knowledge of Guyana labour laws, business practices, auditing, and compliance procedures within an organizational context.
Education: Certificate or diploma in Security Management from an accredited institution.
Must demonstrate an understanding of laws governing the private security industry in Guyana, including the establishment of supernumerary constables.
Leadership & Operations
Lead, supervise, and motivate security supervisors and officers.
Plan and manage daily security operations across sites or facilities.
Develop duty rosters, shift schedules, and deployment plans.
Ensure adequate coverage for high-risk areas, events, and VIP movements.
Risk Management
Conduct risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments.
Identify security gaps and implement corrective actions.
Develop site-specific security plans for different locations.
Maintain a proactive approach to crime prevention and incident reduction.
Policy, SOP & Compliance
Create, review, and enforce security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with local laws, labour regulations, and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and licensing requirements.
Incident Management
Command and coordinate responses to incidents such as theft, violence, fire, emergencies, or breaches.
Lead investigations and produce formal incident reports.
Work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
Implement corrective and preventive actions after incidents.
Training & Performance
Recruit, onboard, and train security personnel.
Evaluate staff performance and enforce discipline when necessary.
Mentor supervisors and build leadership capacity.
Access Control & Physical Security
Oversee access control systems and procedures.
Ensure proper key control, visitor management, and perimeter security.
Monitor guard posts, patrol routes, and check-point compliance.
