Description

The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the company’s daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role supports budgeting, accounting, payroll processing, financial analysis, and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Peachtree, or similar accounting software.

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Maintain up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and accounting files.

  • Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring budget performance.

  • Generate financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and reimbursements.

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and track outstanding receivables.

  • Reconcile vendor accounts and follow up on discrepancies.

  • Ensure all payments are authorized and compliant with company policies.

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Assist with payroll preparation and ensure accurate salary computations.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, NIS, PAYE, and statutory filings.

  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee financial information.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to reduce risk and fraud.

  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.

Cash Management

  • Prepare cash flow reports and monitor daily liquidity.

  • Manage petty cash and ensure accurate recording and replenishment.

Support & Administrative Duties

  • Provide financial guidance to departments when needed.

  • Assist with procurement review and verification of quotations.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
