In this role, you will provide leadership and direction with respect to the growth and management of the country’s credit portfolio. You will be responsible for strategy and policy formulation, implementation of initiatives aimed at increasing profitable credit sales and market share, while managing accounts receivable collections risk. The position is also responsible for growing a cadre of talent to effectively manage the credit business.
Minimum five (5) years' experience in credit management within a large consumer financing environment
Tertiary level education, preferably a master's degree in business administration or finance management
Proven record of accomplishment in application of credit granting and debt collections practices to maximize portfolio performance
Literacy in computing, internet, and office applications (spread sheets, etc.) and exposure to credit granting systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral; being able to deliver effective presentations, influence decisions and outcomes
Strong management skills and the ability to think outside of the box
Strong analytical skills, having the ability to analyze and interpret financial data and make appropriate recommendations and decisions
Strong problem-solving and business development mind-set; demonstrating the capability to formulate and implement improvement and growth strategies

Provide the strategic framework for the growth of the Company’s Credit business, proactively articulating opportunities to augment Credit offerings aligned with the Company’s strategy and capitalizing on new developments within the retail sector in the Caribbean and internationally
Articulate and ensure the implementation of best-in-class practices on credit granting and debt collection and ensure a healthy portfolio through implementation of appropriate controls and proactive risk management; taking care to manage the regional Consumer Finance function to ensure an appropriate balance between a customer-centric orientation and risk minimization
Develop and provide the organization with appropriate Credit Policy and Strategies to achieve portfolio growth; such policies to include but not limited to credit mix and delinquency management
Harness and contribute retail credit knowledge to the Company’s information technology initiatives at the regional and corporate levels
Provide leadership on implementation of appropriate systems and structures within local Credit departments to ensure effective management of the credit portfolio and overall operational excellence
Ensure the highest level of ethical practices and standards in-line with the Company’s core values and Code of Ethics and that business processes are imbued with these core values and ethical standards of the Company
