The Surveyor is responsible for all mine survey activities, including measuring, mapping, assessing, collecting and interpreting information.
Registered Professional Land Surveyor License.
Open Pit Mining survey experience.
Experience in the use of both GPS and Total Station Survey equipment.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the project and or/civil engineering/construction industry spanning and networking skills.
Good working knowledge of mining procedures.
Good understanding and working knowledge of the applicable legislation and regulations for mines.
Experience in the use of Surpac Software would be an asset.
Provide complete surveying support for the Bonasika operation.
Provide accurate surveying to the mining and production teams as part of the open pit mining operation.
Survey stockpiles and perform volume calculations to measure production outputs.
Survey mine pits and other areas of the mining operation as directed by the Mining Engineer.
Prepare designs as part of the mining operation and other project work.
Plan, direct and conduct surveys to establish material quantities and mark legal boundaries of parcels of lands, well-sites, mining properties, rights- of- ways, and roadways.
Prepare and compile all data, plans, charts, records, and documents related to survey of mining and exploration activities.
Work with Safety Department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
General housekeeping as required of all areas of the operations where applicable and instructed.
Other duties as requested by Supervisor or Senior Management to support the team as required to ensure the Bonasika mine is a success.
