Greet patients on entering the hospital.
Direct patients to the relevant departments.
Follow up with all patients utilizing the services of the hospital and do regular checks to see if they are getting through.
Ensure patients are seen by the doctor in a timely manner.
Ensure patients are satisfied before leaving the hospital.
Investigate and resolve all complaints/disputes from patients of the hospital.
Screen calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries and requests for information as directed.
Acknowledge and document customer complaints/suggestions/feedbacks.
Convey all customer complaints/suggestions/feedbacks to the Hospital Quality Manager or Administrator.
Must have a thorough understanding of the products and services offered by the hospital so that he/she may answer questions regarding it.
Complete triage of new patients
Supervise Junior Receptionists and staff in nearby stations.
Orient new Receptionists with hospital policies.
Check the Receptionists’ books to verify that the receptionists entered the necessary patient information such as name, address, etc.
Ensure the receptionists are following the hospital rules with respect to cell phone use, dress code etc.
Ensure that at all times there is a receptionist at the doctors’ desk.
Ensure that the ground floor is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Do regular checks on patients to see if they are getting through.
Monitor the attendance of the receptionists and take the necessary action to deal with attendance issues. This involves checking the time records.
- 5 C.X.C subjects inclusive of Maths and English
- Previous experience will be an asset
At least 2 years of experience in relevant field.
- Patient records should be updated and correctly filed on the same day
- Rotation at different work stations to gain knowledge
- Keep all patient records/reports confidential
- To participate in ongoing training and development
