Responsible for the overall organization and management of the Technical Department; manages and coordinates all activities and personnel relating to the installation and maintenance of Video Lottery terminals (VLTs) and service calls. Ensures staff compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures. Provides efficient and courteous service to customers. Maintains and supports effective staff and customer relationships.
Bachelor’s Degree in Management or similar qualification. Relevant experience of five (5) or more years may be considered in absence of such qualification.
Certification in technical or mechanical training from a recognized institution and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a technical capacity, or three (3) years’ experience in slot machine installation.
Certificate in computer operations (MS Office suite) from accredited institution.
Position requires vehicle access.
Authorizes and/or issues equipment and tools to Technicians.
Ensures games and equipment on the route are in good working order.
Ensures service calls and installations are completed in a timely manner.
Provides timely and appropriate feedback to General Manager.
Counsels employees along with H.R. regarding disciplinary issues.
Ensures the operations and dispatch departments are fully staffed and shifts are covered.
Ensures new employees are fully oriented and trained.
Review employee timesheets for accuracy and submit to HR to facilitate payment.
Consult with the General Manger for approval of overtime.
Ensures adequate inventory of parts and other supplies for installations, repairs and servicing of machines is maintained.
