Description

The site HSE Officer will ensure the site is compliant with HSE policies in the development of Camp activities as well as in the Workplace (Pipeline), to manage all HSE risks and prevent the occurrence of accidents, occupational diseases, environmental incidents, and/or property damage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety

  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Certification

  • Technical, university degree training with experience in safety management, occupational health, and environment.

  • OSHA 30 hrs.

  • NEBOSH International for Construction (preferably)

    WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Full-time site job.

  • Available to work Monday to Saturday

  • Preferably if the applicant is residing in the West Bank of Demerara area.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the procedures, standards and regulations of the client and specific company procedures regarding HSE are complied with.

  • Performing daily inspections for all work premises, advising the employees.

  • Actively involved in HSE-related actions that are required to be done.

  • Effectively carry out inspections and observations in Occupational Safety and Health to the various areas of the operations and the workers in the accommodation as well as in the site of the work.

  • To assess and investigate accidents and incidents that occurred within the Accommodation and Work areas, in relation to Safety, Occupational Health, and the Environment.

  • Proactively participate in the identification and evaluation of hazards, risks, and environmental aspects of the activities of the project

  • Execute full-time monitoring and inspection of occupational health and safety at the site.

  • Coordinate, arrange, and facilitate Toolbox talk at the site.

  • Ensure PTW, JSA are available at the site, all equipment and plants comply with the requirements of the project.

  • Active participation in JSA preparations.

  • Support in the preparation, planning, and execution of Emergency Drills.

  • Coordinate with the personnel of works, the performance of the same, and the movements of personnel between them. 

  • Advise employer about local legislation.
