CSEC Certificate or Similar
Certificate from a Technical Institute
Set up and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, & turning.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Adjust machine settings to control factors such as speed, feed, and coolant flow.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards using calipers, micrometers etc.
Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed.
Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as necessary.
