Juice Up Guyana is looking for an organized and proactive Operations Assistant to manage the daily operations of our school canteen. The Operations Assistant will ensure smooth canteen activities by overseeing stock, handling payments, and maintaining excellent customer service, particularly with parents and students.
Previous experience in canteen, cafeteria, or food service operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and school staff.
Experience with basic stock management and inventory control.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to manage cash and balance daily sheets accurately.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address operational or customer issues effectively.
Comfortable with using email for communication and record-keeping.
Familiarity with creating lunch menus and basic menu planning.
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email systems.
Open the canteen daily, preparing it for service.
Take stock and restock all snacks, beverages, and raw materials as needed.
Prepare fresh snacks and beverage items for sale during the day.
Complete and maintain production sheets, balance sheets, and ensure the cash float is accurate before starting each day.
Record and receive all lunch payments from students and parents.
Print daily lunch sheets and create lunch menus for the week.
Communicate with parents via email to resolve any payment or order issues.
Record and organize all relevant documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Assist with any problem-solving related to operations, sales, or customer service.
Provide excellent communication and sales skills when interacting with students, parents, and staff.
Monitor canteen equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
