Description

The primary purpose of a civil engineer is to plan, design, construct, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that supports everyday life and economic development, while ensuring public safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (B.E. / B.Tech / BSc).

  • Degree must be from a recognized or accredited institution.

  • Minimum 2 years to 4 years in civil engineer position, preferably in mining, construction, or large-scale projects.

  • Experience in remote site operations and project environments is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work in remote and multicultural environments.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.

  • Daily/weekly/monthly reports submitted on time.

  • Communication Effectiveness.

  • Effectiveness of training and development programs safety performance, productivity, cost control, and effective documentation and coordination.

Responsibilities

  •  Study project requirements and site conditions.

  •  Conduct surveys, soil investigations, and cost estimates.

  • Assess technical, environmental, and economic feasibility.

  •  Prepare structural and architectural designs.

  •  Create drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  •  Use engineering software for accurate modeling and analysis.

  • Oversee construction activities on-site.

  • Ensure work follows design plans and safety standards.

  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and workers.

  • Plan schedules, budgets, and resources.

  • Monitor project progress and control costs.

  • Ensure timely project completion.

  • Inspect materials and workmanship.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

  •  Enforce health and safety practices at construction sites.

  • Inspect existing structures for defects or damage

  • Plan repairs, renovations, or strengthening works.

  •  Extend the life of infrastructure systems.

  •  Design eco-friendly and sustainable infrastructure.

  •  Manage waste, drainage, and pollution control.

  •  Ensure minimal environmental impact.

  • Prepare reports for approvals and permits.

  • Follow local laws, standards, and contract conditions

  •  Assist in resolving technical disputes.
