The Site Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities at the project sites, facilities and assets. This role ensures that equipment, infrastructure, and utilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational, regulatory, and safety standards.
Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field.
7–10 years of maintenance experience, with supervisory or superintendent-level responsibility.
Experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, energy, or large-site operations preferred.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Solid technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or facilities systems).
Preventive and predictive maintenance planning.
Safety management and compliance (OSHA / local regulations).
Budget control and cost optimization.
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
Communication and cross-functional coordination.
Lead, supervise, and develop the site maintenance team (mechanical, electrical, and plumber, welder, carpenter, general maintenance staff).
Lead, supervise, and develop the site operations team (Operators).
Plan preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Ensure reliability and availability of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
Monitor equipment and facility condition and performance to reduce unplanned breakdowns.
Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor services.
Enforce health and safety standards, permits, and regulatory compliance.
Investigate equipment failures and implement root-cause corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement and asset management initiatives.
Maintain records, work orders, and maintenance reports.
Manage spare parts, tools, lubricants, and consumables to ensure readiness, with support from warehousing.
Oversee site construction activities and maintenance.
Ensure work follows design plans and safety standards.
Coordinate with other internal areas, contractors, and workers.
Define maintenance scope aligned with construction phase requirements
Identify resources to perform scope: construction equipment, tools, utilities, personnel, etc.
Develop, maintain and update schedule of the current and future programs.
Ensure all activities comply with approved standards.
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Identify recurring defects or failures and implement root‑cause corrective actions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
Implement and monitor permit to work system and job safety Analysis.
Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments for maintenance work.
Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve site safety performance.
