Ramp Agent

The Ramp Agent is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of cargo and aircraft ground operations. This role includes loading and offloading aircraft, processing shipment documentation, and ensuring cargo is accurately handled, tracked, and transported in accordance with company and aviation safety standards.

• CXC / CSEC passes (minimum requirement)

• Diploma in a related field would be an asset

• Computer literate with basic data entry skills

• Valid driver’s license required

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable and punctual
  

Cargo Handling & Operations

• Load and offload cargo from aircraft in a safe and timely manner

• Palletise cargo for secure storage and transportation

• Check and verify inbound and outbound cargo against manifests

• Transport cargo to and from the bonded warehouse/facility

Sorting & Processing

• Sort shipments by destination to ensure proper routing

• Assist with scanning and tracking of cargo using handheld devices

• Ensure all cargo is properly labeled and handled to prevent damage

Equipment Operation

• Operate ground support equipment such as pallet jacks, conveyors, and forklifts (where applicable)

• Assist with movement of oversized or heavy cargo

Documentation & Compliance

• Process documentation for inbound and outbound shipments

• Distribute shipment documentation to relevant airport and regulatory agencies

• Ensure compliance with customs, aviation, and company procedures

Safety & Teamwork

• Adhere to all safety, security, and operational guidelines

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations and on-time cargo handling

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages averaging 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

  • Ability to work in varying weather and outdoor conditions
