Description

The Marketing Officer assists in the development and implementation of campaigns, consistent with Unicomer Group policies, processes, standards and guidelines to facilitate the growth of market share and revenue for Unicomer brands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Marketing and/or related discipline

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in marketing preferably in a retail/optical environment

  • One (1) year's experience in an Advertising Agency or Media Planning Department

  • Knowledge of Digital/Social Media Marketing

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs

  • Good communicator – provides clear, concise written/verbal communications appropriate to the audience.

  • Excellent copywriting skills – ability to rework technical text for a broader audience.

  • Decision-making skills

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Good Analytical Skills

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Team player – works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the creative and production briefing process for all creative work and campaigns and communicates changes to Creative Department (CAPS) and ensures on-time completion of all creative material so that all promotional communication is available through the different media to the general and specific publics and the Branch network

  • Manages the dissemination of all communication to stores for the execution of campaigns;  tracks performance of all promotional initiatives and provide post mortem reports to management inclusive of marketing metrics so that in the first instance the company brands are able to communicate their messages to the relevant parties and that so that metrics can be analysed to impact future sales.

  • Manages the production and delivery of all printed and POS material so that there is in-store visibility for all ongoing promotions.

  • Manages the production, delivery and installation of store signage and fixtures, etc.,  to support merchandising efforts and store readiness

  • Coordinates the execution of in-store and any other brand-related events by liaising with relevant parties and ensuring all marketing and promotional materials are in place so that events are successful.                  

  • Liaises with the Advertising Officer to ensure that all marketing creative materials are placed as per campaign directives so that all promotional deadlines are met and all material is placed in the relevant media to start promotions. 

  • Keeps accurate records and reports of monthly expenditure so that accurate record of department expenditure is kept.            

  • All other related duties assigned by management line to ensure the effective and efficiency of department operations
