As Shipping Dock and Clerk personnel, you bring value to GKB by preparing documentation and maintaining records as it relates to outgoing products. You utilize available resources to ship material in the safest and most cost effective manner to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve company goals.
Education: High School Graduate or Trade School, or Read and Write
Experience: Minium Two Years Inventory Clerk Work Experience
Capability Demonstration: Ability to Perform Job duties in 90 days of hire
Receive parts and job traveler for outgoing orders
Match finished parts to internal documentation (job traveler, purchase order, work order, etc.)
Verify all steps have been completed on job traveler and verify completed quantities and shipment details
Package products for shipment per customer requirements
Make a packet with all shipping documentation required to be sent to the customer
Schedule delivery services when required
Perform outgoing data entry into the ERP software
Provide information to sales and operations pertaining to outgoing product status
Forward completed shipping documentation to accounts receivable for invoicing
Perform the purchasing function for critical or non-critical products and outsourcing services when needed
Operate a Forklift
Keep work area organized and clean
Keep inventory on packaging supplies
On call responsibilities
Follow the requirements of GKB’s safety program
Other duties as assigned
