We are looking for a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen and a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
Culinary training or certificate is a plus;
Valid food handlers certificate;
Minimum of (5) CXC subjects or equivalent;
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations;
Good understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards;
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment;
Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills;
Ability to make creative dishes;
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays;
Familiarity with local and international ingredients and cooking styles.
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes;
Ensure full compliance with all statutory health regulations and company hygiene standards at all times;
Ensure that all food items are properly handled, stored, and prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines;
Carry out ingredient preparation as well as planning, preparing and presenting high quality dishes;
Assist the Chef in daily kitchen operations.
