Job Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting groceries and supplies safely and efficiently to customers, businesses, and designated locations. The driver must ensure timely deliveries, proper handling of goods, and maintain the assigned vehicle in good condition.

Working Hours

Hours of work will be determined based on delivery schedules and operational needs.

Requirements

Valid Car and Van Driver’s Licence.

Good knowledge of Georgetown and East Bank Demerara roadways.

* Ability to lift and carry grocery items and boxes.

* Honest, reliable, and punctual.

* Good communication and customer service skills

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver groceries and supplies to customers and businesses according to delivery schedules.

* Assist to Load and unload goods carefully to avoid damage.

* Verify items against delivery notes or invoices before leaving the depot.

* Obtain customer signatures upon delivery where required.

* Maintain accurate delivery records and report completed deliveries.

* Ensure proper care and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.

* Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, tires, oil, lights) before daily operations.

* Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.

* Assist with warehouse tasks when deliveries are not scheduled.
