Bookstore Attendant/ Operations Assistant

Bookstore Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with book selections and purchases, maintaining store organisation, and ensuring the bookstore remains clean, welcoming, and visually appealing.

6 Days on / 1 Day off

Shift - 11 am - 8 pm

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Friendly, patient, and professional attitude.

• Basic computer and cash register knowledge.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light boxes of books.

• Secondary Education

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Help customers locate books, stationery, gifts, and other products.

• Recommend books and products based on customer interests.

• Operate the cash register and process payments accurately.

• Restock shelves and maintain organised displays.

• Ensure books are properly arranged by category or author.

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the bookstore.

• Assist with inventory checks and stock management.

• Monitor and report damaged or missing items.

• Support promotional events, book launches, and special sales.

• Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, and availability.

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
