Description

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of all designated areas within the facility. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to specific company standards to ensure a hygienic and hazard-free environment for employees and visitors.

Hours of Service:

Monday to Friday: Two shifts available (9 hours per day):

Morning Shift: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Evening Shift: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Saturday: 5-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Overtime: May occasionally be required based on operational needs.

Requirements

Experience:

o   Proven experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in office, commercial, or industrial settings.

Attention to Detail:

o   Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to meet company standards effectively.

Knowledge of Safety Procedures:

o   Familiarity with handling cleaning chemicals and equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.

Physical Fitness:

o   Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including the safe and efficient use of 6- and 8-foot step ladders on occasion.

Communication Skills:

o   Polite and cooperative conduct with the ability to communicate clearly in English.

Uniform Standards:

o   Wear a company-issued uniform that clearly displays the name of the contractor or subcontractor.

Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by TPRC supervisors.

Time Management:

Adhere to shift timings and participate in rotations as needed.

Maintain punctuality to ensure smooth operations.

Work effectively within a team setting to foster a cooperative and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

General Cleaning Tasks:

o   Disinfect and sanitize all high-touch surfaces.

o   Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to remove dirt, marks, and smears.

o   Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and damp mop tile and hard floors to achieve a clean, streak-free finish.

o   Empty, disinfect, and replace liners in trash bins, ensuring cleanliness and odor-free conditions.

Equipment and Furniture Cleaning:

o   Damp dust and clean desks, cabinets, furniture, appliances, audio-visual equipment, and chairs, ensuring a uniform, spotless appearance.

Carpet Cleaning:

o   Vacuum carpets to remove dirt, dust, and debris, ensuring a clean and tidy appearance.

o   Perform spot cleaning to eliminate stains, marks, and residue, leaving the carpet visibly clean and uniform.

o   Conduct deep cleaning (e.g., shampooing or steam cleaning) as necessary to maintain the carpet's quality and overall condition.

Restrooms and Toilets:

o   Clean and sanitize toilet units, urinals, partitions, hand basins, and dispensers to remove dirt, stains, bacteria, and residue cleaner.

o   Descale urinals and toilet bowls to eliminate calcium buildup and maintain a fresh appearance.

Special Cleaning Standards:

o   Inform the Lead Housekeeper about graffiti or persistent stains so they can arrange for specialized cleaning procedures.

o   Ensure thorough cleaning of wall- and ceiling-mounted fixtures.

Safety and Compliance:

o   Follow health and safety protocols while using cleaning materials and equipment.

o   Use environmentally friendly products stored in spill-proof containers.

o   Keep an inventory of cleaning equipment and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) as required.

Emergency and Specialized Cleaning:

o   Respond promptly to cleaning requests in emergency situations.

o   Perform decontamination of office spaces and “vehicles” as needed to prevent the spread of viruses or bacteria.
