Description

We are seeking energetic, customer-oriented Sales Clerks to join our retail team. The successful candidates will play a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers while supporting daily store operations, assisting with sales, and maintaining an organized and attractive store environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience in retail or customer service is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional appearance and attitude.

  • Ability to work well in a team and under minimal supervision.

  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate loads.

Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Customer Service

    • Perform accurate sales transactions using POS and other systems.

    • Assist customers courteously, providing product information and guidance.

    • Foster positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

  2. Inventory and Materials Handling

    • Weigh and record construction materials with precision.

    • Monitor stock levels and report inconsistencies or low inventory.

    • Conduct material quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.

  3. Accounting Support

    • Generate and issue accurate invoices for each transaction.

    • Record financial transactions in alignment with internal accounting protocols.

    • Liaise with the accounting department to reconcile daily sales data.

  4. Clerical and Reporting Tasks

    • Maintain up-to-date logs of sales, material weights, and inventory.

    • Submit timely reports and summaries to internal stakeholders via email or internal systems.

    • Organize and archive documentation as per company policy.

  5. Time and Target Management

    • Meet daily and weekly sales or operational targets.

    • Manage time efficiently, meeting all deadlines and task expectations.

    • Remain available for early starts or extended hours as necessary.
