The Purchasing and Store Supervisor is responsible for the efficient sourcing, purchasing, receiving, and inventory control of goods and materials required for the hotel's smooth operations. This includes overseeing procurement for the rooms division, food and beverage outlets, kitchen and other miscellaneous items. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing from approved vendors without compromising on quality and ensures optimal inventory levels in line with hotel standards and budget.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing/stores, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Familiarity with hospitality inventory and procurement software
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Good knowledge of F&B products, hotel supplies, and local suppliers.
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under pressure.
Previous experience in a business hotel or similar hospitality environment.
Working knowledge of HACCP and other food safety practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/Inventory systems.
Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuance of all goods.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels using inventory management software.
Conduct regular stock counts and ensure compliance with FIFO (First-In-First-Out) methods.
Monitor expiry dates, stock rotation, and shelf-life of perishable items.
Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, cleanliness, safety, and security)
Track expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Report variances to the Finance Manager
Ensure adherence to hotel purchasing policies, hygiene standards, and local laws.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement and store records.
Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with financial procedures.
Supervise and train storekeepers
Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are maintained in storage areas.
