We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our team. As an AutoCAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering projects by creating accurate and precise technical drawings using AutoCAD software. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure that project designs are translated into high-quality drawings that adhere to industry standards and client requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or above in Engineering Drafting
  • Proven experience as an AutoCAD Technician or similar role in an engineering or architectural firm.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software and related tools.
  • Strong technical drawing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interpret project requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, and diagrams using AutoCAD software based on project specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations while creating drawings.
  • Modify existing drawings to reflect changes and revisions requested by project stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date file system for drawings and project documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination of drawing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
  • Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD software versions, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve drawing processes and standards.

As support, we have an associate environmentalist and associate social sector specialist to conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management Plan (EMP) including stakeholder consultations and flora and fauna studies. We also have a survey section equipped to handle both topographic and engineering surveys using Total Station and RTK equipment. Our CAD office is equipped for all structural, roads, sea defences, buildings and architecture drawings using Autodesk suites for CAD, Revit and civil 3D.
