The Accountant is responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely accounting reports and advice to Executive Management. Assist with implementing and executing the strategic plans of the company in accordance with best practice accounting principles.
ACCA qualified.
At least five (5) years accounting experience.
Two (2) years working experience in the same or similar position would be an asset.
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working experience with a Financial Accounting package.
Some supervisory skills would be an asset.
Reconciliation of all bank accounts for the company.
Prepares, reviews and monitors detailed plans and budgets to ensure that the Company’s financial reporting disciplines are in place and working adequately.
Preparation of fixed asset register and monthly reconciliation of fixed asset registers to general ledger.
Maintain and reconcile all company balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Maintain an efficient filing system for all financial documents ensuring that all documents are filed monthly.
Assists the Financial Controller in any duties that may be assigned from time to time.
